FAME FW 2012 Fashion Show : Fashionista Problems & Fancy Made Collab

When Andrea, Miss Fancy Made, asked me if I would collaborate with her in a styling segment at the FAME FW 2012 Fashion Show as her featured designer, I couldn’t say no. I knew I had to make it happen. So I booked my flight from LAX to SFO as quickly as possible and we started planning. Yes we put everything together with miles between us, through text, picture message, phone calls, and Google video chat. THANK YOU technology!

We came up with a galaxy theme (Across the Universe). Every look would have a custom painted galaxy piece & that is where I came in. I also made a few head pieces to go with the outfits. (I will be posting another entry talking about how I created some of the specific pieces, so stay tuned! The pieces are also in the process of being posted FOR SALE on my Etsy. Click on the photos below for the listings.) Andrea pulled the rest of the looks together, flawlessly. Here are all of the runway looks. (click any picture to see it larger)

Thank you to Rolo Tanedo at DUNKSRNICE, Johnny Neang at Muse Theory Design & Mark at Visuals By Mark Photography for all of the amazing photography.

Might I add that Andrea and I also had a booth with items available for sale, Andrea had SO many beautiful pieces available (including bow ties, pictured in one of the looks above; here is her Etsy) & she modeled a look on the runway for Eufia & Aurea, a line made by her amazingly talented friend Kathryn. I felt so honored to meet her in person & see all of her pieces.

This whole event, a “bi-annual event that strives to collectively gather fashion, art, and music to exhibit the work of passionate artists of every caliber and every medium” was put on by Bobbi VieJohn Dsr Agcaoili. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been a part of it.

I want to thank everyone for all the love and support. I would not be here without you.

xx

Corey, Fashionista Problems
