It’s fun to draw Spring and Summer festival style inspiration from outfits worn at Coachella. I hope to bring you all some SS inspiration or future Coachella inspiration. When I start planning outfits for anything, they almost always start in my head. I’ll be honest; since going to Coachella for the first time last year, when I am out shopping I frequently have the thought, “Oh this would be perfect for Coachella!” So this year I almost felt like I had too many options, which is usually better than not having enough. I had the idea of basing my looks off of past celebrity Coachella outfits but I wasn’t really finding any that spoke to me and my personal style. I have come to the realization that I have a few “style personalities” and I tried to convey them through these 3 outfits. I also wanted to be comfortable and not half-naked.
DAY 1 | Flower Child
When I found these pants at a shop in Big Sur, I knew they HAD to be in my wardrobe. They are made from reclaimed vintage fabric and are super flawy and comfortable. They have a drawstring, so can be tied however high or low you would like them to be. The top, is a bathing suit top from Target this season. I made the daisy flower crown. And the sunglasses were a last minute purchase from Amazon. I have been lusting over the Prada Baroque sunnies for SO long and finally decided to order these similar ones and they came just in time for Coachella.

DAY 2 | Neon Lights
This is the most comfy casual one. I got the jumper from a boutique at the Americana last summer and it is so easy to throw on for any occasion. When I first got the hat from Target, I had difficulty figuring out what to wear it with, but then I realized it pretty much went with everything! I picked up the heart-shaped sunnies in Venice Beach, the necklace was a Jewelmint purchase from awhile back, and the booties from Nordstrom. These booties have been a staple in my wardrobe since I bought them a few months back.

DAY 3 | Floral on Layers
I have been obsessed with floral headbands since I first started making them a couple years back. This one has to be one of the favorites I have made. I also made the sunglasses to match with the headband. This outfit is my favorite of the three outfits and was the first one I put together. The “dress” is made up of 3 different pieces. The base is a lingerie dress that is lace on top and a pleated chiffon on the skirt. I got this thrifting in Northern California. The top was a purchase from Nordstrom rack. I put on a skater skirt from Nordstrom on underneath the lingerie dress to make it poof out a bit and give my figure a more accentuated waist. I kept the shoes simple with these black sandals from Nordstrom.

So as I am going through Coachella withdrawals from Weekend 1, I keep wishing I could be at Weekend 2 reliving it all over again. Here’s to next year with more friends, fashion, food, music and sun, hopefully a little less dirt. This year may have to be the last year of camping for us. I still feel desert sand rolling around in my lungs as I breathe.
& now for a little photo montage….
Until next time,
